Meet Dr. Fred Zoch

Dr. Zoch is originally from Bridge City.  When his boyhood dentist retired, Dr. Zoch bought out his practice.  Dr. Zoch earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, which is one of the top ranked Dental Schools in the nation.  He is a longtime member of the Sabine District Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Society, Christian Dental Society, Rotary Club International, and Bridge City Chamber. 

Dr. Zoch is married to Marla Zoch and they have three children, Franklin, Forrest, and Kelly.  Dr. Zoch and his wife Marla have dedicated many hours of service to the community and helping others.  Dr. Zoch has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce in Bridge City.  During his service on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce, he was the Chairman of the project to restore the historical Bridge City teacherage.  Through his and other volunteers work, the old teacherage became a historical museum as well as the new Chamber of Commerce office.

Dr. Zoch has also spent time doing volunteer dental work in Honduras, New Orleans, and the Bridge City community.  He supports the Christian Dental Society and the work they do in underdeveloped countries.  He, his wife, and staff have helped the people of Honduras who are in need of dental care receive treatment.  Following Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Zoch brought a team a volunteers to New Orleans to give free dental care to hurricane victims and to help in the re-building efforts of the city. 

Dr. Zoch has also served as trustee of the Bridge City School Board.  He was elected and served two terms.  During part of that time, he served as President of the Bridge City School Board.  He was very successful in maintaining high standards and progress in the school board and the schools.

In 1999, Dr. Zoch and his wife received the Citizen of the Year Award for their outstanding service and contributions to the community.  Recently, Dr. Zoch received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow through the Rotary Club.  The award is given to honor those who are notable in serving and improving the lives of others through volunteer work and monetary contributions to the needy throughout the world.

Most recently, in 2010 Dr. Zoch was honored with the Readers Choice Award for being voted the Best Dentist in Orange County.

Dr. Zoch has also enjoyed spending time with and teaching his and hundreds of other children in sports.  He has coached baseball, softball, basketball, and football.
